Israel Ambigram on a Cast

Last month, exactly on Independence day eve, my talented husband smashed his arm and now it is in a cast. At first I didn't know what to write on his cast, but then I remembered an ambigram I made last year off the word Israel.


This is the original picture:

I printed the image and traced it to the cast.

Than I traced it with a marker and filled it.

And here it is:

This one took me 3 days to work on. Not full 3 days, I have a day job, so I had fun with it after work.

As you can see I have found a new hobby - Ambigrams.

It's been a new hobby for the last year but just in the last 3 - 4 months I started playing with ambigrams more seriously.

These are new. I have created theme as a gift to my mother and add the family names. I printed them and laminated and now my mother can use them as place - mats.

This is one of my early ambigrams, I came across it when I was searching another file to work on.

What Are They Doing When They Are Home Alone?

recently, every day when I get back home after a long day of work (short 8 hours day), I have a surprise. My dogs are messing up the living room, it looks like they just had a rave party, inviting all the dogs in the neighborhood, and just 5 minutes before I arrive, they kick everyone out.

here are pillows on the floor and blankets on the floor, and sometimes they also rearrange the furnitures.

I decided to record them. Why didn't I do it earlier I don't know.

So I set my laptop at a higher spot with a wide range of the living room, I used the "Windows Movie Maker" program all Windows users have and clicked on "Capture" and left the house.

8 hours later I arrived home, stopped the recording and set to watch this 8 hours long and boring video I have ever watched.

All they do is sleep, bark, sleep, bark.

So why my house looks like there is a way going on? Because of the way they sleep and bark. When they sleep the kick the pillows and throw the blankets. Each time they hear a small noise they run to the door and the kitchen and back to the living room window and then back to the door, each time they are pushing the coffee table, and the couch.

I will tape them again tomorrow and see if there are any other surprises.

If not I still get to keep a very long video of my dogs, sleeping in the most adorable poses and playing angles.

Haircut Day

Hetzi is 9 years old. In all these years we never cut his hair, we
never had to, brushing his hair was enough. However this year, his fur
was too thick and got so tangled I couldn't brush it without hurting
him, and I decided to make an appointment and took him to the doggie hair dresser.

He feels a little uncomfortable, he doesn't find his place, very
understandable,now that he is completely naked.

Hetzi Is 9 Years Old

Today Hetzi is 9 years old and we are celebrating this very happy birthday with doggie cookies and a balloon, which he love to play with.

We received a very nice happy birthday card from DogSpace too and here it is:

Happy Dogs With New Coats

Winter is here and finally this year I gave up and I bought rain coats to my two happy dogs.

I searched for a long time for a good rain coat to cover them perfectly, from head to tail, an I found it.

This rain coat covers my dogs head, and they can see, it covers all their body and my big do busy tail. It also covers their tummy, but not getting in the way when they are busy doing their stuff.

You can see the dogs are completely dry, well expect for their paws, but I am not going to put shoes on them :-)

These coats changed our lives, no more drying, getting up early, and all the mass that comes with the rain, a total success.

The Most Amazing Day

Today I had the most amazing day of my life, I went SKY DIVING, I am thinking about this adventure for almost 2 years and finally I decided to do it. For the last couple of weeks all I did is talk about it.

Finally the day has arrived and here I am at the first moment, falling from the plane, I think this is the best part of all the experience.


Amazing, Awesome, Cool, Super, Magnificent, The Best, you understand.






I also paid for the whole package, diving + a camera man, he was soooo cute, he tool a video of the whole thing and pictures

I was inside a cloud, BTW it's wet there.




We fall for 50 seconds and then another 5 minutes with an open parachute.

The End Of The Year Is Here

This is the end of the year, and this year our graduation class made a little video on out principal.
I know this video is in Hebrew, but you can understand it.
Personally I think they tone it down a little, and FYI this how he truly is.

A Day In The Park

A few month ago a new dogie park was open in our city, my dogs love to play there and meat their other friends.
This park is only for dogs, and only friendly and playful dogs.
My two dogs are two opposites, Apchi is already climbing and jumping and running and Hetzi, well he is special, and loves to take his time...

Here is Apchi coming out of the tube, waiting for here treat.

We took this video a bout a week ago, for some unknown reason the other dogs didn't show any interest in us and the yami food.

I'm Back after a loooong break

In the last couple of weeks I was on a very loooong break, I took the time of to rest and enjoy the holiday I had thank to Passover being celebrated.
On Passover we can't eat bread and wheat and flour products, but we do have other things to eat, i even say to much to eat!

This last week was a week of eating, traveling and resting, and it passed to fast for me.

Now back to normal, back to work and routine life :)

Apchi has a twin

Apchi is a our female dog, my husband found her on the street two years ago, exactlly two years ago, she was only a puppy, 3 month old with sad eyes.

Yesterday my husband and I took the dogs to their evening walk and when we arrived to the park, just in front of us was her twin, we both jumped and said: 'Did you see Apchi's brother?' :)

He looks exactlly like her, a perfect copy, the only thing missing was the white spot she has on her nose.
They also wear the same collar color, and even wag their tail the same.
When Apchi wags her tail it doesn't go from left to right but in circles.

Well, that's it I had to share this with you, he was so cute, I had to check him out, and Apchi, being so possessive, jumped and scared him a way and we never sow him again.

The Fleas are Here

Well not exactly here but they coming, my mother reported ticks a couple of days ago and her dog already got the full treatment.

My sweet dog are something different.
Apchi for example is a flea magnet, the minute the air starts to worm up she start to scratch, then i know it's time to a bath a tick collar and drops.
this sweet black dog is also allergic to the new grass that grow when spring arrive. So no grass for you for two months.


Hetzi, here in the photo licking his nose, the opposite, fleas are afraid of him, in his whole almost 8 years I never sow a flea on him, so i was very surprised to see him scratch like crazy last year. After a long treatment and suffering I realized that my sweat dog is allergic to the fleas drops and that is why he always screamed (did ever hear a dog scream? it is awful) when we sprayed him. So this year no drops and no spray, just a collar for you, sweet dog.

APCHI

Apchi is 2 years old today.
My husband found her on the street on April 2006, so we don't know the exact date of her birthday. she was a sweet little puppy, and she was hungry and she gave him the look, so he picked her up gave her food and water and the rest is history.
We new she is about 3 month old so I decided that January 1st is the best date for her birthday.

We are celebrating the birthday with extra candy and the favorite food "Bamaba"(peanut snack)
I usually buy a new toy too, but my dogs have so many toys already and I bought them a new toy last week, so no new toy today, I'll give her the one I bought last week

It's rainnig

It is raining outside, and the ritual begins, my sweet dog is collecting all the rain in his far.
I have two dogs "Hetzi" a male and "Apchi" a female, they both very hairy, but only Hetzi is a water collector, Apchi can collect all the rain, but she is leaving it outside, but Hetzi NO!, So we have a cleaning ritual, since the dogs are living with us inside the house we have to clean them and dry them, otherwise, they'll wet the all house.

Now, Look at him, he is all wet, like a door mat and he looks like a porcupine all the short hairs sticking up, and he looks so miserable, and then here comes the towel and he hates it, the towel is his worth enemy, why? because its job is to clean him up, I thunk he rather be wet and cold and dirty then dry, worm and clean, but, we developed a tactic.

The best way to grab his attention is with sausage, my husband is holding the sausage high in the air, and nothing else matters. All he cares about now is how to get this sausage inside his mouth and swallow it.

This is my time to start working with the towel, dry him from head to tows (but really from his head to his tows).

After the war is over and I wan, the first thing he dose is to go to the kitchen and see if there are any other leftovers on the kitchen counter, and after the big disappointment, he is going to the sofa to cuddle with Apchi near the heat.

This our cue to stop bothering him and let sleep, quietly all day long.

Poor dog, has such a "hard" life

Making a dog sweater

I am finally doing something I wanted to do for a long time.
I always wanted to make myself a sweater from my sweet dogs fur.

So I am collecting.

I don't know a bout people in Israel that do that professionally so I am going to work with a company from the USA.

They called VIP Fibers
All i have to do is collect and send them the fur and a picture of my sweet doggie and they will make the yarn and even knit me a scarf or a sweater, I haven't decided what i want, yet.

So this company have all the instructions on how to collect your pets hair, how to storage it, how to ship it, how much you need to make a scarf or a sweater or anything your heart desires.

I started collecting, my dog is actually falling a part and if I started collecting years ago I could redo my wardrobe every year with his fur only :)

So, all of you dog lovers, or any other pet, this is a very nice idea, it is human, you are not hurting your dog, you are only using the hair that falls of your dog or the hairs you cut from it.

I never cut my dog's hair, he doesn't need it, but I am brushing him everyday, and collecting the fur from the brush.

My baby is sick

My sweet little dog is sick, last week we visited the vet and he gave him a treatment for flees. the usual treatment we give him every other month, the problem was that the dog started scratching, and scratching, and on Saturday we noticed that his whole body was red and he injured himself from scratching all the time.

So, the first thing I did is to put the collar on his head to stop him from biting himself, but it didn't help he kept scratching with his legs, so we put socks on his legs, but my dog is smart, he took the socks off, so I tried pants, well you can realize that he is very smart and he took them off too, you can't imagine how happy he was after he too the pants off.

In the evening his condition got worse, his had fever, and just lay there with no mood, and we took him to the vet.

before we went to the vet I read his all file again, I keep a record of everything, and I noticed a pattern, every time the dog got flee treatment, he started to scratch, the difference was that this time is was bad, very bad, and I mentioned that to the vet, and read the dog's file too, and agreed with me:

My sweet dog had a very bad allergic reaction to the treatment.

We took a very good care of him, he got a shot and antibiotics, and his fever is fine, and he is happy again :)

and when my dog is happy I am happy

This experience was very frightening for me, but it's over and that's the most important thing.
